BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

HyunWoo(Nathan) Song, everyone who saw his performance says they were captivated by his voice. It is said that the expression of the song that is not exaggerated touches the listener’s heart more. Baritone singer HyunWoo(Nathan) Song makes his whole efforts to send a peaceful message to the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He performed \u201cLa Traviata\u201d and \u201cLes Mamelles de Tiresias\u201d as a Choir. In the 2022-2023 Fall semester, he got a role as a \u201cLe Roi\u201d (The King) in the Opera \u201cCendrillon\u201d. King is the role that adds tension to the song and releases the opera atmosphere comically. In AAMS International Summer Music Camp, he performed \u201cPura sicomme un angelo\u201d from \u201cLa traviata\u201d as a \u201cGermon\u201d, \u201cUn di, se ben rammentomi\u201d from \u201cRigoletto\u201d as a \u201cRigoletto\u201d, \u201cGente, Gente all\u2019armi all\u2019armi\u201d from Le nozze di Figaro\u201d as a \u201cCount\u201d, and \u201cLa ci darem la mano\u201d from \u201cDon Giovanni\u201d as a \u201cDon Giovanni\u201d. To be an Opera Singer, all of these experiences are improve him to be better singer. Especially, he got the first significant role in the Opera, named Cendrillon\u201d. It will be a stepping stone for a more prominent role. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has won awards in several major competitions, including the Haneum Music Competition, The Music Association of Korea Student Competition, the Yewon Music Competition, the Sungjung Music Competition, and the Sunhwa Music Competition. His professional achievements include finishing third at the Peabody Institute Arts Song Competition for the Undergraduates (2021) and second at the 2022 Sue Goetz Ross Student Competition for Voice. Furthermore, he participated in more than ten performances he and his friends staged. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has been receiving the Premier Talent Scholarship for the whole academic year. In addition, in the 2021-2022 Academic seasons, he received the Claire and Allen Jensen Endowed Undergraduate Scholarship (Presidential matches). In 2022 summer, He went to AAMS International Summer Music Camp with a full Scholarship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, he started singing by joining the World Vision children’s choir. He graduated from Yewon middle school and Seoul arts Highschool as a Vocal performance major. And then, he attended Hanyang University for one semester. Now, He is pursuing a B.M Voice performance degree at Johns Hopkins University, Peabody Institute. Moreover, he is working with Professor Randall Scarlata. He is a diligent student, so he has been on Dean’s list high honor twice and once Dean’s list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
